Finidi George said he would be fine with the decision of the Nigerian Football Federation regarding the Super Eagles coaching role, after handling the position on an interim basis.
The 52-year-old tactician is among the leading candidates to become Nigeria’s next permanent manager after leading the team in back-to-back friendly games against Ghana and Mali.
According to Punch NG, Finidi, whose charges lost 2-0 to the Eagles of Mali, stated he is not under pressure to get the role of the Super Eagles coach permanently and would be fine if the job was not offered to him.
"I felt really good when I was told to take charge of the team. I have been with the team for almost two years - I know all the players, their strengths, and their weaknesses - but I am only here to serve Nigeria the way I know how to do stuff.

"I will just take these two games and go back to my club. Whatever the decision is taken after, so be it. I’m not under pressure to say I must get the role permanently," he added.
Finidi is reportedly among seven candidates who have been shortlisted by the NFF for the vacant Super Eagles job.
Adepoju backs Finidi for job
Meanwhile, former international, Mutiu Adepoju, believes Finidi is the right man to lead the Super Eagles and was impressed by his former teammate in the just concluded international window, Complete Sports reports.

FootballWhile Adepoju noted that the Nigerian team under Finidi had a lot of room for improvement, he also strongly believes that the Super Eagles will prosper under his leadership if he gets the job permanently.
The former Nigeria midfielder cautioned the NFF not to judge the Enyimba coach based on the recent loss against Mali and said the coach needed the trust of his compatriots to succeed.
NFF shortlists Finidi for job
Earlier, Sports Brief also reported that the NFF has reportedly shortlisted Finidi among the seven candidates for the vacant Super Eagles coaching job.
Over 40 foreign coaches and a handful of locally based managers applied for the role after the national team parted ways with ex-coach, Jose Peseiro.
