Manchester United goalkeeper, Andre Onana, recently made an interesting pick on the goalkeeper whom he believes is the best ever.

Onana, 27, had a difficult start to life at Manchester United and was subjected to fierce criticism for high-profile errors he made for his new team.

But he appears to have turned the corner in terms of form in recent months, and retains the faith of his manager Erik ten Hag, with United in an intense fight for FA Cup glory in their only chance for silverware this season.

For Onana, that goalkeeper is Bayern Munich legend Manuel Neuer.

"That is a very good question because, being a goalkeeper and especially trying to be a modern goalkeeper, you have to look to a lot of goalkeepers. If I had to choose one who made me think different, I would say Manuel Neuer,” the shot-stopper said.

Onana went on to explain his pick, as he exuded admiration for the way Neuer handles the ball with both his hands and feet.

He went on, "Why? Because of his way, the way he plays. At the World Cup in 2014, I remember, when they won in Brazil. When I was watching that World Cup, I found someone I wanted to look like, he made me think differently."

Neuer is one of Bayern’s most decorated players, with a staggering 11 Bundesliga titles under his belt.
