Allardyce's imminent departure was confirmed in separate statements on West Brom's website.

According to Mirror UK, the legendary English manager will exit alongside his longtime assistant Sammy Lee and first-team coach Robbie Stockdale.

In his announcement to stand down from his role, Allardyce said he made the decision after "serious consideration."

“West Bromwich Albion made me a generous offer to stay at The Hawthorns that shows the commitment of an ambitious club. After serious consideration I have decided not to accept that offer," he said.
“If I were to stay and achieve promotion next season the expectation would be for me to continue for at least another season and, sadly, that is not a commitment I feel able to make at this stage of my career," he added.

The 66-year-old further thanked the leadership at the Baggies for affording him the opportunity to manage the club during his short spell.

Allardyce was appointed West Brom boss in December, replacing Slaven Bilic who was sacked despite guiding the club back to the Premier League last season.

Allardyce's immediate assignment was to help The Hawthorns secure their top-flight status following a previous string of poor results.

However, the Englishman was unable to steer the club to safety, with their relegation being confirmed at the start of May when they lost to Arsenal.

They will be joining Sheffield United and Fulham back to the Championship next season.

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that West Bromwich Albion's were relegated from the Premier League after their heavy 3-1 defeat in the hands of Arsenal on Sunday, May 9.

The Gunners went into the clash off a disappointing exit from the Europa League in the hands of Villarreal in midweek.

The La Liga side condemned the north Londoners to a 2-1 aggregate defeat to end their dream of winning the European competition.

However, that did not stop them from securing a huge win against West Brom, who suffered Premier League relegation at the end of the match.

Emile Smith Rowe, Nicolas Pepe, and Willian all scored a goal each to render Matheu Pereira's 67th strike a mere consolation.
