Nigerian legend Odion Ighalo has bagged his first player of the month since he moved to the Saudi professional league earlier in the year.
The 31-year-old joined Al–Shabab on two and a half years deal after his contract was not renewed by Manchester United in January.
Despite joining them halfway through the season, the former Watford striker made 13 appearances and scored nine goals with three assists in the process.

His presence has also seen them move to the second position on the table this season having finished outside of the top four in the past.
The former Super Eagles attacker has now been crowned Al–Shabab's player of the month for May after an impressive performance.
Ighalo scored brace in their 4-3 triumph over Al-Ettifaq and alsi inspired them to a 5-1 win over Al-Hilal Riyadh in the month under review.
The three-time Premier League player of the month winner will now be hoping to fire his club to triumph next season after a much impressive display on the table. Meanwhile, his deal with them will expire in the summer of 2023.
