- Jordan Ayew has shared his thoughts on Ghana's defeat to Nigeria in Morocco
- The Crystal Palace star scored the Black Stars' only goal in the friendly match
- Ghana played some part of the game with 10 men due to Jerome Opoku's red
Ghana captain Jordan Ayew has reacted to the Black Stars' 2-1 loss to Nigeria in an international friendly at the Stade de Marrakech, Morocco.
Nigerian duo Cyril Dessers and Ademola Lookman scored the goals for the Super Eagles, with Ayew scoring Ghana's only goal in the game.
The Black Stars finished the game with 10 men after Jerome Opoku got his marching orders after fouling Super Eagles defender Chidozie Awaziem.
Ayew, while reflecting on the game's outcome, claimed Ghana were the better team in the second half and commented on Opoku's red card, according to All Nigerian Soccer.

"It didn't really affect us; it gave us even more energy, more strength to keep on doing what we were doing because I had a feeling that we were the better team in the second half," Ayew told reporters in the mixed zone after the game.
"But you know, in football, sometimes things go your way, sometimes don't go your way, and I think we put them under pressure; we went toe-to-toe.
"We did a really good second half, so we need to build on that, and it's a positive thing for the future."
Ayew has yet to taste victory over Nigeria in the three times he's faced the Super Eagles in his international career. The previous two games ended in a draw during the 2022 World Cup qualifying playoffs.
