Erik ten Hag has reportedly identified his next job if Manchester United sack him.

The Dutchman is staring at an uncertain future at Old Trafford following United's mixed run of form this season.

Ten Hag had a promising start to life in his debut season with the Red Devils last term, leading the club to a third-place finish in the Premier League.

The former Ajax boss also helped the club win their first trophy in almost seven years as he lifted the Carabao Cup after beating Newcastle United in the final at Wembley.

However, he has endured a difficult run this season, which has saw his team dumped out of the Champions League in the group stages.

United also face the prospect of missing out on a top-four finish, with the Old Trafford dwellers currently sitting sixth with 47 points, nine points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa.

Owing to these factors, SPORTbible claims that United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe is not convinced ten Hag is the right man for the job.

Ten Hag has identified his next job

However, the Dutchman may not spend a lot of time without a role should United decide to sack him.

German journalist Christian Falk claims that the 54-year-old has already identified his next dream job.

Speaking to Sporting Bild, the United boss dreams of returning to Bayern Munich as the head coach.

Ten Hag managed Bayern Munich II between 2013 and 2015, helping them win the Regionalliga Bayern title.

He left the German outfit in 2015 when he moved to the Eredivisie with Utrecht before later taking charge of Ajax.

Fernandes names best manager in the world

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on Bruno Fernandes snubbing ten Hag while naming the best manager in the world.

The United skipper has played under four different managers since his arrival at Old Trafford in January 2020.
