  • Barcelona youngster Lamine Yamal is now worth €75 million
  • His market value grew by an impressive €15mil from 2023
  • He has surpassed some top Premier League players in value

Lamine Yamal continues his steady rise at Barcelona since making his debut at 15 last year and is now an integral part of the first team at the Spanish club.

Head coach Xavi Hernandez trusted the right-winger who has often been preferred to the experienced Brazilian attacker Raphinha in attack.

Per Transfermarkt, he is now worth €75million. His market value grew by €15mil, the third highest in 2024 behind Samuel Omorodion (€20mil) and teammate Pau Cubarsi (€23.5m).

Sports Brief looks at five top Premier League stars with less value than the youngsters.

PL stars with less value than Yamal

1. Trent Alexander-Arnold

The Liverpool vice-captain is worth €70mil, five million less than the Spanish youngster. His current contract expires in 2025, and per transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid are monitoring his contract situation.

2. Bruno Fernandes

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes’ market value remains unchanged from 2023, which puts him below the 16-year-old. Since his move to the club in 2020, he has hardly been a subject of transfer speculation. He is contracted to the Red Devils till 2026.

3. Mohamed Salah

Salah also remains unchanged from 2023 at €65mil. He will be out of contract in the summer of 2025 and is expected to leave Liverpool soon. Per The Guardian, the Reds rejected a £150mil offer from Al-Ittihad last summer.

4. Marcus Rashford

Rashford saw a decline in his market value to €60mil, most likely due to his struggles on the pitch this season. He signed a new contract last year and is contracted to the club till 2028. He is not short of suitors, as Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly interested.

5. Kevin De Bruyne

Arguably the best player in the Premier League, Kevin De Bruyne, has a market value of €60mil. He has a year left on his contract and has Saudi Arabia circling him for a move.

Highest-paid players in Europe

Sports Brief analysed the 10 highest-paid players in Europe’s top five leagues, with PSG star Kylian Mbappe leading the pack with a monthly gross salary of €6mil.

The rankings feature six Premier League stars, including De Bruyne, Salah and Erling Haaland, while the other three players are from the Spanish La Liga.
