Ghana women's under-20 coach, Yussif Basigi, is optimistic ahead of their clash with the Falconets of Nigeria in the final of the female football event at the 2023 African Games.
The Falconets defeated Uganda 2-0 in the semi-final to secure a place in the final courtesy of goals from second-half substitutes Adaobi Okah and Chiamaka Okwuchukwu.
The Ghana ladies had a great tournament as they defeated the likes of Senegal, Tanzania, Ethiopia and Uganda on their way to the final.

In a pre-match interview, Ghana coach Basigi is talking tough about dethroning the Falconets and claimed they have what it takes to face Christopher Danjuma's side, according to a report by Soccernet.
"We are poised to play the final against Nigeria because each time both countries meet, it does not matter how good your team is because of the rivalry," he said.
"We are prepared for them as they are for us as well. We vary our games, and with the strength of the Nigerians, Uganda and Senegal are equally strong, but we overcame them.
"Nigeria is strong and technically good; we have what it takes to play against them. Playing against Nigeria is not new as I have played against the Super Falcons during my time as Black Queens head coach."
