Former Super Eagles star Dimeji Lawal has shared his thoughts on judging Finidi George based on the results in the upcoming friendlies against Ghana and Mali in Morocco.
Finidi is presently in charge of the Super Eagles on an interim basis after the departure of Jose Peseiro.
The former Real Betis star served as an assistant to the Portuguese coach at the 2023 African Cup of Nations, in which the Super Eagles finished in second place.

With Finidi handling the games against Ghana and Mali, it's been seen as an avenue to judge the former Ajax winger on what he would bring to the Super Eagles team.
In an interview with Complete Sports, Lawal is of a different opinion as he feels both games are not enough to see what Finidi will bring to the Nigerian national team.
"You do not judge coaches based on friendly matches because he will have to try new ideas, introduce tactics, and presence to the players, and that will take time," he said.
"It won't just happen within a few days. So it won't be fair to judge him with the games against Ghana and Mali. It will be too dangerous."
The former Nigerian international also discloses what the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) should do to get the best from Finidi.
