A photo of Super Eagles legends Kanu Nwankwo and Taribo West is currently making the rounds on the internet showing the duo together after they played for Italian giants Inter Milan during their days.
In 1996, African footballer of the year Kanu Nwankwo joined Inter from Ajax Amsterdam for around $4.7 million.
This was right after he captained the Nigeria Dream Team win the Olympics, inspiring his side with a brace in the semifinal against powerhouse Brazil to overturn a 2–3 scoreline into a 4–3 win in extra time.
Nigeria went on to win the title defeating Argentina 3-2 in the final.
Kanu scored just one goal for Inter Milan in 12 Serie A matches. He later underwent successful surgery in November that year. His career at the club ended in 1999.
Also, sensational defender Taribo West was transferred to Italian side Inter on a four-year deal from French side Auxerre.
On his debut season, he alongside the likes of Ronaldo Nazario de Lima as well as Ivan Zamorano won the UEFA Super Cup.
Taribo featured in 44 Serie A matches for the Nerazzurri, scoring one goal before he later joined rivals AC Milan in 2000.
However, a picture showing Kanu and Taribo together got the fans buzzing as it showed both legends had just finished playing a match for Inter - as it brought back memories of the good old days.
Meanwhile, Finidi George has disagreed with Taribo West's claims that the Super Eagles got knocked out of France '98 in the last 16 because some players got distracted.

Nigeria were dumped out of the competition in the round of 16 despite topping the group that had Spain, Bulgaria and Paraguay.
Finidi said in an interview with Legit.ng on Instagram that he was not aware of the claims made by his former teammate.
Legit.ng earlier reported that Nigeria’s Jay-Jay Okocha has been named in Alan Shearer’s top 10 Premier League cult heroes following his magical show during his reign in the English Premier League.
Shearer made this disclosure as part of the Match of the Day podcast alongside Gary Lineker and Micah Richards.
Okocha played for English clubs Bolton Wanderers as well as Hull City during his remarkable career as fans in England made the midfielder a household name.
