Manchester United will host fiercest rivals Liverpool at Old Trafford tomorrow in the 2023/24 FA Cup quarter-final for a place in the semi-final at Wembley.

The two sides met once this season, a 0-0 draw at Anfield, where the Red Devils played with a depleted squad that Scott McTominay captained.

Man Utd vs Liverpool's last 5 games

1. 0-0 draw at Anfield

United were without their captain, Bruno Fernandes, who picked up his fifth booking of the season in the 3-0 loss to Bournemouth when they faced the Reds in the league. Despite fears from fans that they could be battered again, they held their ground for a point.

2. Liverpool 7-0 win

Last season's second-leg Premier League tie at Anfield was terrible for the Red Devils. They were hammered 7-0; per Goal, it was their heaviest defeat to their rival in 126 years. Mohamed Salah scored a hat trick.

3. Manchester United's 2-1 win

In Erik ten Hag's first match against Liverpool as United boss, he defeated Liverpool 2-1. Marcus Rashford and Jadon Sancho scored for the home side, while usual nemesis Salah pulled one back for the visitors.

4. Liverpool's 4-0 win

Jurgen Klopp’s side beat their rivals 4-0 during interim manager Ralf Rangnick’s era. Salah netted twice, while Luis Diaz and Sadio Mane completed the mauling. It completed a 9-0 aggregate win for the season, with the Egyptian winger scoring five.

5. Man Utd’s 5-0 loss

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s final game against Liverpool in charge of United was a 5-0 thumping at Old Trafford. Former Roma winger Salah scored a hat-trick. Diogo Jota and Naby Keita also got on the scoresheet. Paul Pogba was sent off minutes after coming on.
