Mbappe’s impending arrival in Spain will only bolster Los Blancos’ competitiveness, particularly in Europe, possibly at the expense of their age-old rivals Barcelona.

Regardless, one Barca star remains indifferent to Mbappe joining the La Liga.

Robert Lewandowski’s take on Mbappe

Veteran striker Robert Lewandowski recently admitted Mbappe was a hot La Liga prospect, but insisted he was not afraid of the competition the forward would bring.

Lewandowski is arguably the striker with the highest profile in La Liga, having signed for Barcelona from Bayern Munich in 2022, per ESPN.

Mbappe’s arrival will now bring forth a modern rivalry in the el Clasico as two top marksmen will go head-to-head, despite their 10-year age gap.

The Poland international recently did an interview with a Polish TV Meczyki, saying, as per Football Espana:

"It's not official yet and it's hard to comment until the announcement is made. So let's wait for it to be confirmed,"

"If he comes, it's going to be fun to compete against him in LaLiga. We're not afraid, I take it positively,"
