SuperSport United head coach, Gavin Hunt, has confirmed that striker Bradley Grobler was taken to hospital.
The former Bafana Bafana star sustained an injury in the match against Mamelodi Sundowns on Tuesday, March 12.
Grobler, who had to leave the field early during the Tshwane derby clash that ended 1-1, scored the equalizer for Matsatsantsa in the 34th minute before being substituted at half-time due to injury.
“Yes, it affected us. I thought it was a penalty and it looks like he was kicked from behind. He dislocated his shoulder, so he’s gone to the hospital because it didn’t look good. It’s a huge blow because we don’t have depth, and we’re struggling there, so it was a huge blow for us," he said, as quoted by The South African.

Regarding the match, Hunt believed that his team could have secured a victory against Sundowns with more patience.
Although Hunt couldn't ascertain the severity of Grobler’s injury, he hinted that the veteran player might face an extended period on the sidelines due to his age and history of injuries.
Depending on its extent, the 36-year-old could potentially miss the remaining ten matches of the current season.
Despite the draw, Hunt commended his youthful players for their commendable performance against Mamelodi Sundowns.
The Nedbank Cup is next, with United facing Richards Bay at the King Goodwill Zwelithini Stadium on Saturday, March 16, as reported by Times Live.
