According to Brandeis University, it is believed to be the month when the Holy Qur'an was revealed as a guide and source of salvation for humanity.
During Ramadan, Muslims adhere to a strict fast from dawn until sunset, refraining from consuming food or drink, including water, during daylight hours.
This period is dedicated to drawing closer to Allah and abstaining from activities that may distract from spiritual focus.
How Ramadan influenced Diallo deleting his socials
In line with the Ramadan principles, Diallo chose to deactivate his social media accounts on Monday, a decision that garnered attention, particularly among Manchester United supporters.
However, the 21-year-old clarified that his choice extends beyond simply removing content related to the football club.
“I’ve deactivated my social media for a month just to focus on Ramadan. Stop the hatred. There’s nothing wrong with what I did,” the youngster explained as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.
Diallo's action underscores his commitment to observing Ramadan with sincerity and devotion, prioritizing spiritual growth and focus during this sacred time.
“It’s a holy month for me, and social media is a place where there are bad things to see during fasting” he ended.

FootballHow has Diallo performed this season?
The decision to abstain from the virtual world comes during a season of disappointment for the 21-year-old, who has struggled to secure a significant role under Erik ten Hag.
Despite a promising loan spell at Sunderland last season, where he contributed 14 goals and four assists in the Championship, Amad has failed to make an impact this season.
So far, he has only made three substitute appearances, falling short of expectations set for him to establish himself in the team.
Ex-United star sends Ramadan message to Muslims
Meanwhile, former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has joined Muslims around the world in observing the fasting of Ramadan and has a special message for fellow believers, Sports Brief reported.
The holy month arrives at a particularly meaningful time for the footballer, who is facing adversity after being banned from the sport for four years due to doping allegations.
Pogba took to his Instagram page, sharing a photo of himself engaged in prayer with the caption Ramadan Kareem.
