FootballJurgen Klopp Urges Liverpool to Sign Talented Premier League Star After His Departure
- Jurgen Klopp will leave Liverpool at the end of the season
- The manager has one player he wants the club to sign
- He is reportedly a huge fan of a Wolverhampton defender
Jurgen Klopp is reportedly pushing Liverpool to sign a quality left-back in preparation for life after his exit from the club.
The German tactician shocked the world earlier this year by announcing that he would be leaving the Anfield job in the summer.
While there are no suggestions on who will replace Klopp, whoever will take his place will have an uphill task of keeping up what the 56-year-old has built over the years.
One area Liverpool will need to get right is summer signings, and Klopp could have a hand on this despite his impending exit.

According to TeamTalk, the outgoing Reds boss has urged the club to move for Algeria defender Rayan Ait-Nouri.
The Algerian, currently at Wolverhampton Wanderers, is highly rated by Klopp for his performances so far this season.
Under Gary O’Neil, Ait-Nouri has integrated seamlessly in the manager’s preferred 3-4-3 system and has produced a goal and assist from left wing-back.
Despite Liverpool having the likes of Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas as natural left-backs, Klopp believes the young Ait-Nouri would be a perfect long-term prospect for Liverpool.
But Liverpool may face competition if they are to move for the left back, as Manchester United also have interest in the 22-year-old, according to The Hard Tackle.
Like Liverpool, United also have several left-backs, but Luke Shaw’s injury problems have forced the club to consider other options in the transfer market. The Red Devils’ other option in that position Tyrell Malacia, has barely played any games this season.
The best XI in the Premier League this season outside the ‘Big Six’
FootballWhich club should Ait-Nouri join?
Both Liverpool and United offer Ait-Nouri a unique chance to properly showcase his talents as a left back.
With the Merseyside club, the young Algerial is almost guaranteed immediate success with the team, but he might find it difficult to displace players like Robertson from the squad. Champions League football is also a decent temptation for him to join the Reds.
At United, the defender will likely integrate into the team quickly since the club is still looking for their strongest starting XI to compete for major trophies comprehensively.
Supercomputer predicts PL winners
Sports Brief also reported on a supercomputer’s prediction of the title race after the latest round of fixtures.
Liverpool played out an entertaining 1-1 draw against Manchester City to leave only one point between first and third place in the standings.
A win for either City or Liverpool would have seen Arsenal toppled from the summit of the table, who went top following their 2-1 hard-fought win over Brentford on Saturday.
