Nigeria received a mega boost ahead of their international friendly games against Ghana and Mali later this month as goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali, was cleared fit for both games.
The 27-year-old suffered an injury scare after he picked up a knock and was substituted in the DStv Premier League game against Mamelodi Sundowns while in goal for Chippa United.
According to Afrik-Foot NG, fears of Nwabali missing both games against the Black Stars and Eagles have now been eased as Nigeria's first-choice goalkeeper has been declared fit.
The Super Eagles, still searching for a new coach, will face Ghana on March 22 in Marrakesh, Morocco, before taking on Mali four days later at the same venue.

Enyeama proud of Stanley Nwabali
Meanwhile, former Super Eagles goalkeeper, Vincent Enyeama, said Nwabali came at the right for the national team following Nigeria’s previous struggles with getting quality goalkeepers, Naija News reports.
Prior to the 27-year-old’s breakout in the Super Eagles, Maduka Okoye and Francis Uzoho had faced the proverbial stick from Nigerians owing to their poor performances while in goal for the national team.
Enyeama prayed Nwabali’s good form would continue as he outlined the fact that the Chippa United goalkeeper has proven there was no curse on the Super Eagles goalkeeping department since his retirement.
Nwabali backed to remain first choice
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Peter Rufai is rooting for Nwabali to remain as the Super Eagles' first-choice goalkeeper following his outstanding performances at the 2023 AFCON.
