FootballPitso Mosimane: Kaizer Chiefs Legend Discloses Why Amakhosi Should Go for South African Tactician
- Pitso Mosimane is still a top target for Kaizer Chiefs despite signing a short-term contract with Abha Club
- One of Amakhosi's legends has explained why the South African manager should be Chiefs' next coach
- The former Mamelodi Sundowns coach is still one of the most successful African coaches on the continent
Kaizer Chiefs legend, Edward Manqele, has disclosed why AmaKhosi should appoint Pitso Mosimane as the next permanent manager among the coaches linked with the club.
The South African tactician currently works as an Abha Club coach after staying months without a managerial role.
A couple of coaches have been linked with Kaizer Chiefs since the departure of Molefi Ntseki, and the interim manager, Cavin Johnson, is not meeting the expectations set by the board.
In an interview with Soccer Laduma, Manqele highlighted some of the reasons why Mosimane is the right candidate to take over the vacant permanent managerial role at the Glamour Boys.

"Pitso Mosimane puts 100% into his work, and looking at what he did at Mamelodi Sundowns, he can do the same at Kaizer Chiefs," he said.
"How he built the team to win trophies it's because of him. Sundowns was not doing well, so he took over.
"After a few years, Sundowns won each and every trophy, dominated the Premier Soccer League, and even won the CAF Champions League. That's why, in my opinion, I will go with Pitso. He is the right coach to change things at Kaizer Chiefs at this point.
"They should investigate him and give him time. He will do it, and things will change."
Edward Manqele played under Pitso during his time with Sundowns in the 2012-13 season in the Premier Soccer League.
Chiefs face competition from Nigeria for Mosimane
Sports Brief earlier reported that Chiefs' interest in Mosimane is facing stiff competition from the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
The AFCON 2023 second-placed nation are without a head coach after parting ways with Jose Peseiro earlier this month and are looking towards appointing the former Al Ahly boss as the Portuguese manager's replacement.
