The Brazil international was spotted walking straight down the tunnel after his substitution, sparking a huge concern for City.
Ederson likely to miss Arsenal cracker
According to sports journalist Jack Gaughan, Ederson suffered a thigh injury, which could see him stay on the sidelines for three to four weeks.
This means that the goalkeeper could miss City's possible title decider against Arsenal on March 31.
The tie comes at a time when only a point is separating the Gunners at the top and Pep Guardiola's men in third.
Ederson has been a mainstay figure for the Citizens since he joined them in 2017.
The 30-year-old has gone on to play a pivotal part in the club's success, including their record-breaking treble-winning season last term.
The Brazilian has won five Premier League titles during his six-year stay at the Etihad Stadium.
