Belgian manager Hugo Broos has released a 32-man preliminary squad for Bafana Bafana's upcoming friendly games against Algeria and Andorra during the international break.

The South African national team are one of the countries included in the FIFA Series international friendlies pilot project, which will run from March 18-26 in Algeria.

Broos will reunite with the South African team for the first time since defeating the Democratic Republic of Congo to claim the bronze medal at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Al Ahly star Percy Tau, alongside Burnley striker Lyle Foster, missed out on the 32-man squad, with the final squad set to be announced in the coming days by Broos, according to a report by iDiskiTimes.

South Africa's preliminary squad for upcoming friendlies

Goalkeepers: Ronwen Williams (Mamelodi Sundowns), Bruce Bvuma (Kaizer Chiefs), Ricardo Goss (Supersport United), Veli Mothwa (AmaZulu FC).

Defenders: Siyabonga Ngezana (FCSB, Romania), Khuliso Mudua (Mamelodi Sundowns), Nkosinathi Sibisi (Orlando Pirates), Bradley Cross (Golden Arrows), Thapelo Morena (Mamelodi Sundowns), Mothobi Mvala (Mamelodi Sundowns), Tapelo Xoki (Orlando Pirates), Aubrey Modiba (Mamelodi Sundowns), Siyanda Xulu (Supersport United), Sydney Mobbie (Sekhukhune United).

Broos speaks on his Bafana Bafana future

Sports Brief earlier reported that Broos has spoken about his future as Bafana Bafana coach after leading the country to a third-place finish.

The Belgian manager claimed he is not happy with some things happening with his role as Bafana Bafana coach.
