He was criticised after Nigeria lost the final match 2-1 to the hosts, forcing him to delete all his photos from Instagram.
Iwobi seems to have moved on as he also found the back of the net in Fulham's 2-1 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford.

During an episode of ‘Would You Rather’, the 27-year-old stated that Wizkid’s vibes capture his attention more than that of Burna Boy, but admitted that 'Odogwu's 'Last Last' hit track was a massive hit. He said, as per Complete Sports:
“I prefer Nigerian music to English. Wizkid is my favourite Nigerian artiste. I feel him more than Burna [Boy].
“I have always been a big fan of Wizkid.”
'Ojuelegba' crooner Wizkid, who prefers to be known as 'BigWiz' is arguably one of Nigeria's greatest music exports.
