In response to the accident, the Premier Soccer League (PSL) announced the postponement of the fixture via social media, expressing solidarity with Galaxy during this difficult time.
"The decision has been made in consideration of the extraordinary circumstances following an accident involving the TS Galaxy FC team bus and another motor vehicle on Tuesday afternoon. The PSL extends its understanding and support to TS Galaxy during this challenging period," said the PSL, as reported by SNL24.
TS Galaxy president, Tim Sukazi, shed light on the club's perspective, stressing the need for understanding and support from the league.
He explained the challenges faced by the team in the wake of the tragedy, including the absence of professional counselling due to the proximity of the accident to the match date.
“It is the league that makes decisions but then we need to report and make them aware and also make them aware that our players are in trauma and distress state. What caused the trauma and made it worse was the situation where the driver of that vehicle lost her life," he explained, as quoted by Far Post.

FootballSead Ramovic Questions Controversial Penalty Reversal
Sports Brief reported that TS Galaxy head coach, Sead Ramovic, expressed bewilderment over a contentious penalty decision that was reversed during his team's 2-0 defeat to Cape Town Spurs.
Galaxy believed they had a chance to claw back in the second half after the referee initially awarded them a penalty following an alleged foul on Samir Nurkovic, only for him to retract his decision shortly after.
The match, which took place in the DSTV Premiership on Sunday, March 3, saw Spurs' goals scored in the first half after a lacklustre start from the Rockets.
