According to the former Three Lions boss, Sarri’s unwillingness to tweak his tactics allowed Bayern loads of space to exploit the visitors.
“You prepare for a match, you think you’re playing in a certain way, but you can’t always play with the same system when that system allows the opponents to do what they want.” Capello told Sky, via Tutto web.
“If the 4-3-3 doesn’t go well, change the formation. And then in Italy we are not used to this rhythm, we are not used to this speed of play. We need to improve from this point of view.”
In recent times, Sarri has been criticised over his philosophy and his style of play, with Lazio CEO Claudio Lotito being one of the former Chelsea boss’ fiercest critics, per One Football.
