Rodri sets Premier League record
Apparently, City's win was just more than a victory for Rodri, with SPORTbible reporting that the result was enough to help him set a new Premier League record.
The result means that Rodri has not lost a club game since February 2023, when City lost 1-0 to Tottenham Hotspur.
Since that defeat, Rodri has represented City in 59 games without tasting a defeat, the longest by any Premier League player.
The record was previously held by Chelsea legend Ricardo Carvalho, who went 58 games without defeat.
The streak ran between November 2006 and February 2008.
Meanwhile, Rodri joined City in the summer of 2019, with the club splashing a club record of €70million, per Goal.
