Kaizer Chiefs' interim coach, Cavin Johnson, has addressed queries regarding the fitness of attacking midfielder Nkosingiphile Ngcobo.
Ngcobo has been a regular starter in league matches under Johnson's tenure but has yet to complete 90 minutes in any of his ten appearances this season.
Despite scoring only one goal in the 2023/24 campaign, the 24-year-old has drawn attention for appearing slightly out of shape.
"I don’t think Mshini is overweight, I think he’s fine. He might look overweight, but I can tell you we have people looking at all these things, and none of these players are overweight," Johnson said, as quoted by iDiski Times.

Johnson stressed the subjective nature of assessing weight, saying that while the player may appear heavier, the team closely monitors players' fitness levels through top-notch fitness facilities and measures, ensuring optimal performance.
