Carabao Cup final: Jurgen Klopp’s injury list leaves Liverpool fans with more questions
FootballBruno Fernandes: Fulham Savages Man United Captain on Social Media with Injury Claim
- Fulham have mocked Bruno Fernandes via a post on social media
- The Manchester United skipper trended for his antics on Saturday
- United manager, Erik ten Hag, has since defended his midfielder
Fulham fueled criticism aimed at Manchester United captain, Bruno Fernandes, by posting a video which clearly mocked the embattled superstar.
The Cottagers posted a video on TikTok showing the Portuguese star going down towards the end of the clash against them on Saturday, February 24.
In the video, Fernandes raised his hands as if gesturing for play to be stopped so he could be attended to by medics. Moments later, however, he was seen quickly rising to get on with play.
Fulham captioned the TikTok video, 'So glad he’s okay', along with a 'rolling eyes' emoji to perhaps indicate they were not convinced about the legitimacy of the United skipper's injury.

According to Manchester Evening News, United are not keen on starting a row with their Premier League rivals, although they are ‘very dissapointed’ by how their club captain was being portrayed on social media.
Fernandes was a major doubt for Wednesday’s FA Cup clash against Nottingham Forest but ended up playing and setting up Casemiro for the match-winning goal late in the game.
Ten Hag responds to Bruno criticism
United boss, Erik ten Hag, is also among those who are unimpressed by the criticism being aimed Fernandes’ way.
According to the gaffer, the 29-year-old’s injury was legitimate, but he played through the pain barrier against Forest.
"I don’t say what it is, but it was a serious injury," ten Hag said after United’s latest win, per the BBC.
"I see social media criticise him. It is pathetic. He has a serious injury, he continued to play on Saturday and then also he fought to be part of this game."

Man United set new record
As Sports Brief earlier reported, Manchester United set a new record with their FA Cup victory.
Casemiro left it late with a goal deep in the second half to hand the Red Devils a crucial 1-0 win.
Thanks to that victory, United have now advanced to the FA Cup's last eight a record 48 times.
