- South Africa and Nigeria will clash in a cracking two-legged match in April
Nigeria and South Africa are set to rekindle their rivalry in women’s football again and coach Desiree Ellis has issued a stern warning to the Super Falcons ahead of their Olympic playoffs clash.
The Super Falcons will tackle Banyana Banyana in a double-header in the final playoffs for a ticket to the Paris Olympic games after both teams breezed through Cameroon and Tanzania in the third round of qualifiers.
According to Soccernet, Ellis has declared the game against Nigeria will be a “do or die” affair for Banyana Banyana while speaking in anticipation of the playoff games against the Super Falcons.
“It will be do or die [against Nigeria], We want to have an early camp, we will improve our chances when we prepare early and very well.”

Super Falcons ready for South Africa
Meanwhile, Super Falcons midfielder Deborah Abiodun has reckoned Nigeria will not take South Africa for granted when both teams clash in the final round of the Olympic qualifiers, All Nigeria Soccer reports.
Deborah made this claim after the Super Falcons defeated Cameroon 1-0 in Abuja to seal a date with Banyana Banyana in the final round of the African qualifiers.
It has been sixteen years since the Super Falcons qualified for the Olympic Games, and a victory against South Africa will book their ticket to the Paris 2024 Games.

FootballSuper Falcons coach reacts to juju claim
Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Nigeria coach Randy Waldrum does not understand the 'juju' dispute between the Super Falcons and the Cameroonian women’s national team.
During the second half of the Olympic qualifiers' second leg in Abuja, a Cameroonian player allegedly attempted to plant 'voodoo' inside Nigeria’s goalpost.
Cameroon had a free kick in the last minutes of the game, and Annie Enganemben was seen heading towards the Nigerian net, but goalie Chiamaka Nnadozie and forward Asisat Oshoala stopped her, and the player was sent off afterwards.
