Kamohelo Mahlatsi is on the brink of securing a promising opportunity with Chippa United as he seeks to reignite his career.
Mahlatsi joined Kaizer Chiefs at the start of the 2023/24 PSL season but faced challenges breaking into the starting XI.
He made only seven appearances across various competitions and failed to bag any goals or assists.
The 25-year-old, who initially joined AmaKhosi from Moroka Swallows in 2022, has been without a club for over six months.

Following his departure from the Glamour Boys, Mahlatsi underwent trials with Swallows, but a deal failed to materialize.
His fortunes shifted when he surfaced at Chippa this year, signalling a potential return to competitive football in the latter part of the season. Participating in friendly matches with the Chilli Boys, he has reportedly made a favourable impression on the club's technical staff.
The club is coached by Thabo September and Kwanele Kopo, who have prior experience working with the attacker during their time at SuperSport United FC's development setup.
“Mahlatsi has been impressive in the short space he’s been with the club. You can expect a deal between to be completed in the coming days,” a source said, as quoted by Far Post.
With aspirations to secure a spot in the league's top eight, Chippa is strategically bolstering its squad for the remainder of the season.
In addition to Mahlatsi's potential acquisition, the Port Elizabeth-based side has strengthened its goalkeeping department with Darren Johnson's signing, as reported by iDiski Times.

FootballJohnson, 27, arrived on a free transfer following his departure from Motsepe Foundation Championship side AmaTuks in August 2023.
