FootballKhama Billiat: What Former Kaizer Chiefs Star Will Earn at His New Club in Zimbabwe
- Veteran forward, Khama Billiat, has joined a new club
- The Zimbabwean will join Yadah FC on a one-year deal
- Billiat was without a club after departing Kaizer Chiefs
Zimbabwe legend, Khama Billiat, has joined Yadah FC in his home country, ending months of speculation about his future.
The 33-year-old has been without a club since leaving Kaizer Chiefs at the end of last season after his contract expired.
Billiat was one of the highest-paid players in the DStv Premiership before leaving the PSL giants under something of a cloud.
Billiat is regarded as one of the greatest players in PSL history, leaving a mark wherever he played. He was the PSL Player of the Year in 2016 and nearly won the CAF African Player of the Year award for Africa-based players.

He joined the Amakhosi in 2018 after leaving Masandawana in 2018, but struggled to replicate his form in Naturena.
Under Pitso Mosimane at Sundowns, Billiat won three league titles, a CAF Champions League, and a CAF Super Cup title. He scored 76 goals in the PSL, per Transfermarkt.
Billiat's salary at Yadah FC
Billiat was widely expected to join Dynamos FC, but a deal never materialised. Instead, he joined Yadah, a team that has struggled in the league since their promotion in 2016.
"I can confirm Khama Billiat has joined Yadah FC. We are looking forward to doing the unveiling [on Thursday]. That’s what we are working on at the moment," said club chairperson, Everson Chatambudza, per FARPost.
"He will be with us only for a year. We want him to play for us, so he will not be loaned to Dynamos as has been reported."

FootballBilliat was reportedly earning R850,000 at Amakhosi. At Yadah, his salary will be significantly less.
FAR Post reports the Zim star will still earn around R95,500 [$5 000] per month, making him the highest earner in the league.
Billiat will be tasked with helping the club finish higher in the table after years of narrowly escaping relegation.
Billiat ignores move to Saudi Pro League
Last October, Sports Brief reported that Billiat ignored several big money offers, including the Saudi Pro League, and was lining up a move back to Cape Town City.
Chiefs did not renew Billiat’s contract at the end of last season, but the veteran is believed to have received several offers, including from Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
Billiat is a multi award-winning player, having won the PSL Player of the Season, the PSL Players’ Player of the Season, and the PSL Midfielder of the Season prizes.
