South Africa captain, Ronwen Williams, visited his old school in Gqeberha more than a week after leading Bafana Bafana to third place at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations. heroics
Williams was named the best goalkeeper at the tournament in Ivory Coast after South Africa's unexpected run to the final.
The Mamelodi Sundowns star was also named in the team of the tournament following his heroics in the knockout rounds, per BBC.
According to KickOff, Williams visited Gelvandale Primary School, and donated R50,000, which will go towards the school's sporting department.

"Gelvandale Primary School will always be special to me, because this is where everything started for me," he said.
He also reflected on a successful AFCON campaign with his country in, Ivory Coast.
"I was happy that we could finally get into the semi-finals after 20 years. I, however, can't take all the credit. The team, coaching staff, and analysts also deserve credit."
Williams and South Africa will be seeking to reach the World Cup for the fourth time in their history in 2026.
Williams tops PSL clean sheets list
Sports Brief earlier reported on Ronwen Williams leading the league with the most clean sheets in the 2023/24 season.
The Sundowns star has kept nine clean sheets so far this season in 12 PSL matches. Nigeria's Stanley Nwabali has seven clean sheets. Cape Town City veteran Darren Keet has eight clean sheets.

The Bafana Bafana goalkeeper made a name for himself in the tournament in South Africa's quarter-final clash with Cape Verde, in which he saved four penalties during the shoot-out.
