The DStv Premiership returned last weekend following the conclusion of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The biggest match of the weekend was Mamelodi Sundowns facing Orlando Pirates at the Loftus Versfeld Stadium. The match failed to live up to the hype, ending in a 1-1 draw.
Ronwen Williams conceded a penalty in the game, but is still on top of the clean sheets list.
The South African captain was incredible at the 2023 AFCON. His penalty saves helped South Africa finish third in the tournament in Ivory Coast, per CAF.

5. Sage Stephens (Stellenbosch, 5)
Stephens has been playing for Stellies since the 2020/21 season after spells at AmaZulu and Cape Town City. He has done well so far in the 2023/24 season. His five clean sheets have come against Orlando Pirates, Golden Arrows, TS Galaxy, Chippa United, and AmaZulu.
Veteran Nigerian goalkeeper, Daniel Akpeyi, of Moroka Swallows has five clean sheets in 15 league games. He was one of the players who was reportedly dismissed by the club a few weeks ago. He was in goal in their 1-0 defeat to Polokwane City on Saturday, February 17.
4. Melusi Buthelezi (Orlando Pirates, 6)
The Pirates shot-stopper has six clean sheets in just 11 matches. On Saturday, he was on the bench in Pirates' 1-1 draw against Sundowns. AmaZulu FC's Veli Mothwa and TS Galaxy's Vasilije Kolak have kept six clean sheets too.

Football3. Stanley Nwabali (Chippa United, 7)
Nwabali was one of Nigeria's best players at the 2023 AFCON. He lost the Golden Glove to Sundowns star Ronwen Williams. The Chippa United star has kept seven clean sheets in the PSL but missed their 1-1 draw against Cape Town City on Saturday, February 17, since he's still celebrating in Nigeria.
Polokwane City's Manuel Sapunga also has seven clean sheets. He was part of Equatorial Guinea's squad at the 2023 AFCON. However, he didn't play a single minute. One of his PSL clean sheets came against giants Mamelodi Sundowns.
2. Darren Keet (Cape Town City, 8)
The veteran has been ever-present since joining the club in 2021. His eight clean sheets this season have helped Cape Town City to the second spot in the table, nine points behind leaders Sundowns. Two of his clean sheets have come against Kaizer Chiefs and Sundowns.

FootballThe Sundowns star is enjoying another incredible season. He was the best goalkeeper at the 2023 AFCON and took home the Golden Glove. The 32-year-old was also named in the team of the tournament. This season, he has nine clean sheets from 12 PSL matches. He has conceded just four goals this season.
Last season, he broke the record for the most clean sheets in a single PSL season. He surpassed the record set by former Orlando Pirates shot-stopper, Moneeb Josephs, who finished with 17 clean sheets in the 2009/10 season, per Far Post.

Nwabali accepts Williams as best goalkeeper
Sports Brief earlier reported on Nwabali saying that Williams deserved to win the Golden Glove at the AFCON 2023.
The Chippa United goalkeeper was superb in the competition as he conceded four goals, of which three were from open play, but Williams still bettered it.
The Bafana Bafana goalkeeper made a name for himself in the tournament in South Africa's quarter-final clash with Cape Verde, in which he saved four penalties during the penalty shoot-out.
