Manchester City star Ruben Dias has been named as the best player in the Premier League so far this season by Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher.
The 23-year-old joined the Citizens from Benfica in a deal of around €68 million last September and he has been superb for the Etihad Stadium outfit since then.
He was excellent for his side during their Champions League triumph over Paris Saint Germain - making crucial blocks to keep them from conceding more than once in both semifinal games.

While he was doing a fantastic job at the back, Riyad Mahrez was busy scoring as they are just one hurdle away from being crowned champions of Europe.
Carragher during an interview with CBS Sports said that 'Dias’ class in the Premier League has been great as reported by Complete Sport. He said:
“I love him. I think he’s been the best player in the Premier League this season, I really do believe that.
“I think he’s had a huge effect on Manchester City. Even when he speaks and you watch him play you can’t believe he’s 23.
“John Stones next to him is 27-28 and you feel like it’s the other way around with John Stones and that’s no disrespect to John Stones.”
Carragher while comparing Van Dijk with Dias said:

Football“What I would say is that Van Dijk has been blessed with physical attributes that Dias hasn’t so in some ways I’m more impressed with Dias.
“When you watch Van Dijk, it’s like watching a Rolls-Royce, you just think the way he moves. Most players don’t have that and Dias probably hasn’t got that so probably has to concentrate more and besides on constantly.
