Pitso Mosimane's son, Reatlegile Mosimane, has become a social media frenzy following his standout performance for the Kaizer Chiefs Under-13 team in the Gauteng Development League.

During a match against Kathorus Hyper Academy, Reatlegile scored a goal and provided two assists, contributing significantly to the team's 4-0 victory and securing their spot in the semi-finals.

In 2021, sensational reports claimed he was on trial with Barcelona's renowned La Masia academy. However, it was clarified that he was merely training with one of Barcelona's satellite teams in Cairo during his school holidays, as reported by SNL24.

MT Sports Marketing & Management, representing Pitso Mosimane, clarified the situation, stating that Reatlegile was not on trial with Barcelona but was participating in training sessions with their franchise team, where participants were required to pay fees.

Mosimane begins journey with Abha Club

Meanwhile, Mosimane, the accomplished African coach, recently took the helm at Abha Club in the Saudi Pro League. Despite facing challenges, including being in the relegation zone with Abha, the 59-year-old is determined to make an impact.

Reflecting on his return to Saudi Arabia, Mosimane spoke of his motivation, citing unfinished business and the desire to tackle new challenges. He highlighted the significance of the league's growth, stressing its prominence in the Gulf region and Asia.

"I’m trying to finish a story. If I personalise it, I won promotion to this league with Al Ahly, so I should be in the Pro League. Of course, the conditions are different. It’s now the biggest league in the Gulf, maybe in Asia,” said the former Memlosi Sundowns manager, as quoted by National News.

Mosimane's journey in Saudi football began with Al Ahli, where he succeeded by leading the team to the top tier. Despite subsequent ventures, including coaching Al Wahda and taking a sabbatical, his return to the country signifies his commitment to his coaching career.

Mosimane’s first game with Abha Club ends in a draw

Sports Brief previously reported about Pitso Mosimane's inaugural match at the helm of Abha Club, where they settled for a draw against Al Taawoun.

Currently languishing in the relegation zone, Abha have 14 points after 19 matches, facing a daunting goal difference of -30.

The club's wins have been scarce, with their last on November 4, 2023, against Al Akhdoud at home.
