The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) concluded with an electrifying match between Nigeria’s Super Eagles and the host nation, Ivory Coast.
The thrilling game, which had spectators on the edge of their seats, featured a flurry of goals, including two in the second half by midfielder, Franck Kessie, and forward, Sebastien Haller, which were enough to secure a come-from-behind victory for the tournament hosts.
After what seemed like a heartbreaking loss for the Super Eagles, many players have returned to their clubs to continue their respective campaigns. Samuel Chukwueze, Victor Osimhen, and several others have reunited with their club teammates, and the latest Super Eagles star to return to his club is midfielder, Frank Onyeka.

Brentford welcomes Frank Onyeka
The 26-year-old received a warm welcome from a host of club staff and teammates, including new signing Sergio Reguilon, as shown in a video shared by the club on social media.
Onyeka was also treated to the honour of a Nigeria jersey with his name on the back. The midfielder was subsequently greeted by other teammates, including DR Congo’s, Yoane Wissa, who erupted into cheers upon seeing him.
However, while Onyeka's return is a significant boost for Thomas Frank's side, who are battling to avoid relegation, it must be noted that the upcoming clash against Liverpool comes too soon for him.
