- He is among the most yellow-carded players in the Premier League this season
Chelsea striker Nicolas Jackson now risks a ban after receiving yet another yellow card during his side’s clash against Crystal Palace on Monday, February 12.
The Blues continued their impressive winning streak over the Eagles as they came from behind with late goals to secure a 3-1 win.
Conor Gallagher struck twice as record signing Enzo Fernandez rounded off a wonderful turnaround at Selhurst Park. Still, one stain in Chelsea’s otherwise perfect evening was Jackson’s booking which was, in many ways, avoidable.
The Senegal international got a bit too excited after Fernandez struck his team’s third goal which sparked wild celebrations from the Chelsea bench.

In the frenzy, Jackson made his way onto the pitch to celebrate with his teammates despite the fact that he was subbed off 15 minutes earlier.
Moments later, it emerged that the 22-year-old had been booked for stepping onto the pitch, and this was his ninth booking this season.
As per the laws of the game, only players participating in the game are allowed past the technical area, a rule which Jackson broke, as per TheFA.com.
Jackson risks ban
Being his ninth booking of the Premier League season, Jackson’s unnecessary booking now puts him at risk of getting a two-game ban.
Mauricio Pochettino earlier spoke on the £32million signing from Villareal, warning him against his behaviour on the pitch.
“I said (to Jackson) ‘come on, for a striker to have four yellow cards, to protest, to talk with the referee. You need to get some yellow cards for different actions not because of that,” Pochettino said as per the Chelsea website.

FootballAccording to Pochettino, his striker still has a lot to learn in terms of his conduct.
Since signing from Villareal, Jackson has nine goals in 26 appearances for the Blues. He will be hoping to avoid a booking when his side takes on Manchester City on Saturday, February 17.
