Playing abroad is most South African football players' dream. International fame, more money and a sense of achievement are just a few of the things gained when a local player makes it to overseas grounds, and this is exactly what Bloemfontein Celtics' Victor Letsoalo would like to do.
According to reports, the 27-year-old soccer player has set a goal for himself - and that is to score 30 goals in the 2020/21 Premier Soccer League (PSL) campaign. Victor believes that scoring these goals will help make him as visible as possible to international soccer teams.
So far the Bloemfontein Celtic star has proved that he has got both the ambition and the drive to reach this goal, having already scored five goals and one assist in only five games for this season. He was also named the 2020 Nedbank Cup Player of the Tournament.
Speaking in a Sowetan article, Victor, aka Sepana, had this to say:
"The top-scorer award is something I really wish to win. I want to score in each and every game across all competitions. My target is 30 goals in all competitions this season.
“Soon I will go. I want to play overseas, that’s my ultimate goal. I’d be delighted to play for Bafana. I will wait for my chance. I know it may take time for me to be there but eventually I will be part of the team," reports The South African.
Meanwhile, soccer fans seem to love Victor. Many of them have shared their thoughts on the player's capabilities online. Read a few of their tweets below.
