A supercomputer has predicted the team that could win this season's Premier League title after Arsenal hammered West Ham United over the weekend.

The Gunners demolished their city rivals 6-0 at the London Stadium to make a huge title statement.

Declan Rice was the man of the moment during the tie, as the midfielder returned to haunt his former side with a five-star performance.

The England international bagged a brace of assists and scored a wonder goal to inspire Arsenal to victory.

Bukayo Saka scored twice, while Gabriel Magalhaes, William Saliba, and Leandro Trossard also got their names on the scoresheet.

According to OptaJoe, this was Arsenal's biggest away win in history, with the result coming just days after they silenced title rivals Liverpool 3-1 at the Emirates Stadium.

Supercomputer predicts Premier League winners

A supercomputer has now made a title prediction in the wake of Arsenal's latest triumph.

According to data crunched by BettingExpert's algorithm named BETSiE, Mikel Arteta's charges are on course to win this season's crown, their first in two decades.

The Emirates dwellers have been given a 39.3 per cent chance of carting home the trophy, while Liverpool have a 35.8 per cent chance of being crowned champions in Jurgen Klopp's last season with the club.

On their part, reigning champions, Manchester City, have been given just a 24.8 per cent chance of retaining the title.

Liverpool currently top the standings with 54 points, two points ahead of City and Arsenal, who are separated by goal difference in second and third place, respectively.

Arsenal backed to win the EPL

Earlier, Sports Brief reported on Manchester United legend, Dimitar Berbatov, backing Arsenal to win this season's Premier League title.

Despite the apparent stiff competition, Berbatov contends the Gunners are the favourites to lift the Premier League trophy this season.

However, the Bulgarian also had a warning for Arteta's charges, noting that Man City could not just be 'wished away' in the EPL title race.
