FootballHarry Kane Receives Rare Backing from Arsenal Legend Thierry Henry
- Thierry Henry admitted he wanted Harry Kane to win a trophy
- Kane is looking for his first piece of silverware in his professional career with Bayern Munich
- Bayern have won the Bundesliga every season for the last 11 years
Former Arsenal man Thierry Henry put rivalries aside as he admitted he would like to see Harry Kane lift a trophy.
It is mind-boggling to imagine Kane, despite being one of the best marksmen in world football for years, is yet to clinch silverware in his professional career.
Having ended his 19-year association with Tottenham Hotspur last summer, Kane’s £82million move to Bayern was tipped to be the transfer that would finally break his silverware curse.
But midway through the 2023/24 season, trophies do not seem to be a certainty for Kane, whose Bayern side are being pushed to their limits in the Bundesliga title race by Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen.

Kane has been in typical scintillating form in terms of goal scoring, netting an impressive 28 goals in 27 games, per Transfermarkt. This has however not been enough for Bayern to claim top spot, as Alonso’s side remains two points clear after an unbeaten start to the campaign.
Thierry Henry’s take on Harry Kane
In the past, Thierry Henry often celebrated Harry Kane’s pain, for obvious reasons.
But now that Kane is no longer a North Londoner, Henry, who won two Premier League titles with Arsenal, admits it would be nice to see the England international lift a trophy for once.
"I want Paris Saint-Germain and Arsenal to do well. After that, it would be great for the big man [Kane] to somehow grab a trophy,” He told talkSPORT in Las Vegas ahead of the Super Bowl.

FootballHe added, "We all know that's what he's been chasing for a long time. So we'll see if he can do it at Bayern Munich, that would be great for him.”
The Arsenal legend however expressed concern for Kane since Bayer Leverkusen look like genuine contenders with more than half the season gone.
