Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa was captured leading a chorus as the Nigerian team continued their preparation for their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations semi-final clash against South Africa.

Nigeria will slug it out with South Africa for a place in the final of this year's continental showpiece being staged in Ivory Coast.

Footage shows the Nigerian team heading to Écoles de la police nationale in Abidjan before their departure to Bouake, where they will face Bafana Bafana.

Although he has yet to play a minute at the tournament so far, Musa has continued to lead the team by example, as per Soccernet.

He was spotted leading the worship songs as they rode in their team bus to the training ground.

While other players were seated, Musa stood as he led the songs in different Christian choruses despite being a Muslim.

He could be heard singing and clapping, "we are marching forward, Alleluia Amen, in the name of Jesus, Alleluia Amen."

Fans have continued to react to the clip, which has since gone viral on the internet. One said:

"I'm a Muslim, and I used to lead my workers in Christian praise and worship songs."

Another added:

"I wish my dear Super Eagles good luck in tomorrow's game, I, my national team."

A fan posited:

"Sports is the only thing that unites Nigerians. Our politicians and overzealous religious extremists should come and learn how to relate and live in harmony and stop fighting for their gods."

Osimhen fit for South Africa cracker

Sports Brief earlier reported that Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has been declared fit to play the semi-final against South Africa on Wednesday, February 7.

The Napoli man was a serious doubt due to abdominal discomfort, which prevented him from travelling with the squad to Bouake.

Nigeria are looking to reach their first AFCON final since 2013 and will need their striker fit for the final on Sunday if they are to do so.
