Pochettino’s take
The Chelsea boss has since confirmed he spoke with Silva on the issue.
While speaking ahead of Chelsea’s FA Cup fourth-round replay against Aston Villa, the former Tottenham boss said clear-the-air talks had been held with Silva regarding his wife but remained coy on the details of the conversation.
“He [Thiago] came today to talk to me. I'm not going to talk about what we were talking but the most important thing is that he came and talked to me,” the Argentine said, per TalkSport.
Despite Silva’s wife’s social media activity, Pochettino insisted he had a good relationship with the veteran defender, who is one of Chelsea’s better players this season.
He added, “It's very good. I think so. From the beginning, you can see my press conferences and how I talk about him.”

Sergio Aguero assesses Premier League title race after De Bruyne’s return from injury
FootballIt has not been an easy first season for Pochettino at Chelsea.
Despite the club’s heavy investment in signings, results have not matched the club’s financial muscle as they sit in the bottom half of the table after 23 games.
Ten league defeats in the 2023/24 campaign have left sections of fans in despair, but Pochettino insists it takes time to build a formidable team.
The Blues still have the chance to give their fans something to celebrate, as they have the opportunity to win the Carabao Cup in the final against Liverpool later this month.
Chelsea make decision on Pochettino
Sports Brief earlier reported that Chelsea have no intentions to sack Pochettino, at least not in the near future.
Chelsea bosses will instead assess the coach’s performance at the end of the season to determine whether he is fit to take the team to the next level.
The development comes just a day after the former Southampton boss issued an apology following his side's humiliation at the hands of Wolverhampton.
