His latest victory was a resounding 4-0 win over Claudio Ranieri’s Cagliari, which helped the Gialorossi climb to fifth on the log.
As reported on EuroSport, Dybala scored twice, with his first goal rounding off a brilliant team move from an assist by Bryan Cristante. He secured victory with his second goal, which came from the penalty spot after Cristante’s header hit the arm of Andrea Petagna.
The other goal scorers were Lorenzo Pelligrini, who scored for the third successive game and Dean Huijsen, who scored his first goal for the club with a towering header.
Dybala closes in on record
With his brace, Dybala came close to a little-known milestone, becoming the fifth-best Argentine goal scorer in Serie A history.
Since beginning his Serie A career in the 2012/13 season, the 30-year-old has netted 118 goals in the Italian top flight, per Transfermarkt.
Only four players from Argentina have scored more goals than the former Juventus man: Mauro Icardi (121), Gonzalo Higuain (125), Hernan Crespo (153) and Gabriel Batistuta (184).

Juventus fans banter Inter with police caps
Still on the Serie A, Juventus fans went viral on January 27 for wearing police caps for the match against Empoli.
The move was believed to be a dig at Juventus’ title rivals Inter, following Massimiliano Allegri likening the title race between the two clubs to ‘thieves and guards’.
