Mason Greenwood won the internet on Sunday, February 4, thanks to a cheeky piece of play during Getafe’s La Liga clash against Real Betis.
The 22-year-old sealed a loan move to El Geta in August 2023 as it was agreed he would continue his career away from his parent club, Manchester United.
Now, it seems the England international has put the assault allegations behind him and is determined to get his career back on track if his performances in La Liga are anything to go by.
At Getafe, Greenwood has established himself as an integral part of José "Pepe" Bordalás’s side, making 22 appearances across all competitions and finding the net seven times.

He was at it again against Betis, as he slotted from the penalty spot using his so-called weaker right foot, per Whoscored.com.
But that was not even the moment of the game, as a video of Greenwood exhibiting some classic wing play delighted fans online.
In a video shared by the club's official X handle, Getafe got a throw-in deep in opposition territory, with Greenwood receiving the ball on the flanks.
Surrounded by two players and with nowhere else to go, the forward somehow wiggled his way past two Real Betis players before shifting his body and leaving one sprawling on the floor.
He did not stop there, dribbling past one more defender before his cross-shot was parried away by the goalkeeper. The rebound fell to Getafe midfielder Jordi, who somehow failed to score.

Greenwood’s goal against Granada
On January 29, Greenwood hit headlines for scoring an outrageous goal against Granada in La Liga.
His goal came amid controversy surrounding his teammate at Manchester United Marcus Rashford, who was on the spot for missing United’s FA Cup clash against Newport after ‘calling in sick’.
It was a much-needed goal for Getafe at the time, as it helped them come out of a three-game winless run.
