DStv Premiership side Kaizer Chiefs have congratulated the South African national team after qualifying for the semi-finals of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

Bafana Bafana booked a place in the last four after a hard-fought victory over Cape Verde's Blue Sharks in the quarter-final stage on Saturday (February 3).

Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper, Ronwen Williams, was the hero on the night for the South African team as he saved four penalties during the shoot-out after the game ended goalless in 120 minutes of play.

Congratulatory messages have been flowing in for Hugo Broos' side, with fans, top personalities, and clubs celebrating South Africa's qualification to the semi-finals of the biggest football tournament in Africa.

Kaizer Chiefs were not left out as they keep celebrating the team, despite not having a single representative from the club in Bafana Bafana squad at the tournament.

The AmaKhosi took to their official page on social media platform X to celebrate the country's national team for sealing a place in the last four.

"Well done @BafanaBafana, On to the next one! #TotalEnergiesAFCON2023 #BafanaPride," the Glamour Boys stated.

Kaizer Chiefs' congratulatory message to the South African team in AFCON 2023 stirred different reactions from their followers on X.

Bafana Bafana's semi-final opponent in the competition are Nigeria's Super Eagles, according to a report by Soccerway.
