Oshoala’s successful Barcelona stint unravelled
Meanwhile, Asisat Oshoala’s time with Barcelona has been nothing short of successful since her arrival at the Catalan club from Chinese club Dalian Quanjian in January 2019.

Oshoala's historic achievement as the first African to win the UEFA Women's Champions League with Barcelona in 2021 is noteworthy, and she repeated that success in 2023.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Nigerian striker Asisat Oshoala of the Super Falcons has been named the 2023 CAF Women's Player of the Year, defeating South African Thembi Kgatlana in the process.
The Nigerian international was important in Barcelona Femeni's success in both the UEFA Women's Champions League and the Spanish Women's League.
The former Arsenal forward was also a key player in Nigeria's success in the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup, which was hosted by Australia and New Zealand.
