"Kevin Wangaya has joined FK Apolonia in Albania. Mungu akueke (God bless you), Kevula," The club posted on their X handle.

During his time with Kariobangi Sharks, Wangaya showcased his talents and played a pivotal role in the team's dynamics, contributing significantly to their success.

Wangaya, previously part of the Kenya national U18 team, the Junior Stars, played a crucial role in securing a runner-up position in the CECAFA U-18 Boys Championship. His inclusion in the provisional squad underscored his rising profile in Kenyan football.

As reported by Pulse Sports, Wangaya has inked a one-year deal with FK Apolonia after an impressive one-and-a-half-year stint with the Sharks.

Joining FK Apolonia, Wangaya will be in the company of fellow Kenyans Lewis Shivachi and Kevin 'Taiwo' Owino, both recent additions to the club. Shivachi moved from FKF Premier League side Posta Rangers, while Taiwo joined from the National Super League (NSL) team Kibera Black Stars.

Currently sitting fifth in the Albania First Division with 27 points from 18 matches, FK Apolonia aims to climb higher in the league standings.

Wangaya’s transfer comes on the back of news that Kenya's emerging talent, Stanley Wilson, is set to undergo trials with Sweden's top-tier football club, AIK Fotboll.

The teenage central midfielder gained prominence in September 2023 when Harambee Stars' head coach, Engin Firat, took the daring step of including him in the national team.

This was despite his limited experience of just two FKF Premier League games.
