Players who played for Chelsea and Liverpool

1. Mohamed Salah

Some Chelsea fans still regret that the club did not give the Egyptian winger more time before shipping him off. He has been one of the league's best players since moving to Anfield from AS Roma. He will miss tonight's game due to an injury suffered at AFCON.

2. Raheem Sterling

Sterling made his Premier League debut as a teenager for the Reds. He spent three seasons before moving to Manchester City. After seven years at the Etihad Stadium, he moved to Chelsea. He has over 100 league goals and is one of the most experienced players in the league.

3. Daniel Sturridge

Sturridge moved directly between both clubs in 2013 after four years in London. He spent six years at Anfield and had the honour of winning the UEFA Champions League with both clubs. He called it quits on his career in 2022.

4. Fernando Torres

The only player who racked up over 100 appearances from both clubs. He spent four years each at both clubs. Per UEFA, he was the British record transfer player when he moved from Merseyside to London in 2011. He's famously remembered for the goal against Barcelona in the 2012 UEFA Champions League semi-final, which sent the Blues to the final.

5. Boudewijn Zenden

The first player to feature for both clubs in the Premier League era. The Dutch attacker played for Chelsea between 2001 and 2004. He spent a season at Middlesbrough before moving to Anfield, where he spent two years.

6. Glen Johnson

7. Nicolas Anelka

8. Joe Cole

9. Victor Moses

Salah returns to training after injury

Sports Brief reported on Salah returning to training after injury, which ruled him out of Egypt’s last two games at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

In Salah's absence, Cape Verde eliminated the Pharaohs in the Round of 16 on penalties. He shared a picture of himself on the grass on social media, which has received backlash from fans.
