According to Liverpool Echo, Salah was expected to be out for a couple of weeks due to the injury and was tipped to miss Liverpool’s forthcoming fixtures against Arsenal, Fulham, AFC Bournemouth and Norwich City.

Salah is Liverpool’s top scorer for the 2023/24 season, scoring 18 goals in all competition for the Reds and will play a crucial role in their push to win the Premier League title this season.

Klopp rules out Salah for Chelsea

Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp has confirmed Mohamed Salah will play no part in Liverpool’s crunch English Premier League midweek game against Mauricio Pochettino’s Chelsea, Football London reports.

The 31-year-old forward was in a race against time to be fit for the game against the Blues after suffering a hamstring injury while on international duty with Egypt at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Klopp ruled out Salah for the game against Chelsea and Arsenal, claiming the Egyptian forward is not ready and has not fully recovered from the injury he is currently carrying.

Salah predicted to leave Liverpool

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Mohamed Salah is among five players touted to leave Liverpool at the end of the season following the revelation of Klopp’s departure by the Premier League club.

Klopp's exit from Liverpool after nine years could result in an unforeseen reorganization of the Anfield club, which might have an impact on many players' futures.

Liverpool rejected £150mil from Saudi club, Al-Ittihad, last summer for Salah, but things could change with the departure of the manager who signed the Egyptian winger from AS Roma.
