  • The Chippa United star's return to training sparked reactions from fans on social media

Super Eagles goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali has given Nigeria fans good news, with the shot-stopper spotted in training ahead of their Angola clash.

The West Africans will face the Palancas Negras in the quarter-finals of the ongoing 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

The Chippa United star didn't train with other players on Monday but was available for the Tuesday session.

"He needs to take penalty short trainings seriously, most of the recent games ended in penalties."

@AlrightStarBoy said:

"Happy for him.. like you've always pointed out. Never change a winning team"

@WIZZ_POLL said:

"A fit player is a fit player. We saw the impact of a half fit Zidane in 2002 World Cup for France. He could not play and Senegal beat France. If Nwabali is not 100% fit then Uzoho has to play. Uzoho is capable of doing the job against Angola because he did it in 2018 World Cup!"

@Tun_G05 said:

"Thank Goodness my God, I don't want to witness another blanter mistake in this Afcon, thank you God for Nwabali once again."

The Super Eagles goalkeeper is still in doubt ahead of their AFCON quarter-final clash against Angola.

If Nwabali is not fit by the time of the last-8 game, he would be replaced for the important encounter.
