The Super Eagles are leaving nothing to chance ahead of their Africa Cup of Nations Round of 16 clash against the surprise team of the tournament, Angola.
Nigeria is set to take on the Black Antelopes in the final eight as they continue their quest to win a fourth AFCON title, with Pedro Goncalves's men the next in line for the Super Eagles.
According to Complete Sports, the Super Eagles, who resumed training on Monday after their Round of 16 victories over Cameroon, practised penalty kicks ahead of the crunch knockout tie against Angola.
Nigeria won their last three games at the tournament after their 1-1 draw against Equatorial Guinea in their opening game in the competition and hopes to avoid getting into a penalty shootout against the Black Antelopes.
Nigeria and Angola have met 10 times in the past. The Super Eagles have three victories, two defeats, and five draws versus the Black Antelopes.
Angolan squad travel to Abidjan
Meanwhile, ahead of their quarter-final fixture against Nigeria, the Angolan national team have travelled to Abidjan as they continue their fairytale run in the Africa Cup of Nations, All Africa reports.
The Black Antelopes departed Bouake on Tuesday morning for Abidjan, where they were based since the group stage and in the round of 16 match against Namibia.
Angola is still unbeaten at the AFCON, having drawn 1-1 in the first round of group D with Algeria before defeating Mauritania (3-2), Burkina Faso (2-0), and Namibia (3-0).

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that William Troost-Ekong said the Super Eagles are hungry to win their forthcoming Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final match against Angola.
The three-time AFCON winners advanced to face the Black Antelopes after defeating archrival Cameroon 2-0 in round 16.
Ekong advised against underestimating the Angolan team but stressed that the Super Eagles players will compete for nothing but victory.
