Mauritania's giant slaying coach, Amir Abdou, received a special guest ahead of their Round of 16 clash at the Africa Cup of Nations against Cape Verde.
The West African nation shocked the continent after sending two-time champions, Algeria, home following a 1-0 victory in the final Group D game.
Abdou also made history by securing the country's first-ever win at the Nations Cup, making it back-to-back Round of 16 achievements for the French-Comorian gaffer.
During preparations for the game against Cape Verde on Monday, the 51-year-old received a special visit from former France coach, Raymond Domenech.
The coach and his technical team shared some knowledge for the match against the Blue Sharks, who surprisingly topped Group B ahead of Egypt and Ghana.
"My staff and I had the immense pleasure of receiving Mr. Raymond Domenech in his capacity as President of UNECATEF accompanied by Anissa who is well known to the members, this Saturday at our gathering place. We thank him very much for the quality of the exchanges," wrote Abdou on social media.
The winner of the match between Cape Verde and Mauritania will face either South Africa or Morocco, per Sky Sports.

Earlier, Sports Brief reported that Mauritania coach, Amir Abdou gave Algeria a hint of what to expect before the two teams clashed at the Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
The French-Comorian coach led Mauritania to their first-ever AFCON victory after defeating the two-time African champions in the final Group D game.

FootballMauritania secured a place in the last 16 as one of the best third-placed sides in the tournament, making it two out of two for Abdou at the Nations Cup.
Mauritania eliminate Algeria from AFCON
Sports Brief also reported that former champions Algeria crashed out of AFCON after losing 1-0 to Mauritania, who are 75 places lower in the world rankings.
Captain Mohamed Dellahi Yali scored after 37 minutes in Bouake for the Group D outsiders, who progressed as one of four places reserved for third-placed finishers in the mini-league stage.
Angola defeated Burkina Faso 2-0 in the same section and topped the final standings with seven points. Burkina Faso (four) and Mauritania (three) also advanced to the knockout stage.
