However, the 47-year-old has earned another ticket to win his first UCL title as the Blues face Manchester City in this year's edition of the competition in Istanbul on May 29.

The London club started their last four fixtures with a 1-1 draw in Spain and consolidated on their performance with a 2-0 triumph over Los Blancos at Stanford Bridge.

And according to William Hill's (@WilliamHill) post on Twitter, Tuchel is the first manager in European Cup/Champions League history to reach back-to-back finals with two different clubs.

The former Borussia Dortmund handler is also in the final of the FA Cup as Chelsea are poised to meet Leicester City at Wembley Stadium on May 15.

Tuchel only took over from Frank Lampard in January and he has been able to turn the tides of the club around as they moved from mid-table club to title contenders in all competitions except the Premier League.

Legit.ng earlier reported that Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel has taken over from Jose Mourinho and Luiz Felipe Scolari as the first manager to claim more clean sheets in the Premier League.

The Blues have recorded 11 clean sheets under the German boss who only arrived at the club at the end of January after the sacking of Frank Lampard.

His appointment has had an instant impact at Stamford Bridge, guiding the club back to the top four as well as the semi-finals of the Champions League.
